Guide to choosing an Inground Pool

Inground Pool Construction

If you are considering building and swimming pool, now is the time to act. Most Pool Builders offer discounts on pools purchased in the winter so they can be installed in the late summer or spring when pool activity is usually low. But before you decide when to buy, you need to decide what to buy. Let's take a quick look at the two most popular types of pools.

Concrete

Concrete pools often called shotcrete or Gunite pools, are the most popular and most expensive type of pool. Although it has a longer duration than other types, concrete is considered to be the strongest and most durable type of pool. And unlike other in-ground pools, existing concrete or Gunite pools can be reconstructed, refinished, enlarged, modernized, or restructured.

Vinyl

Vinyl-lined pools are the second most popular pool in the country, and the number continues to grow.. Vinyl pools are limited in size and shape. Most are rectangular, but we also have L-shaped and raised.

Choosing an inground pool

When choosing an inground pool, it is essential to consider several factors, such as the size of the pool, the type of material used, the cost, and the maintenance requirements.

·        Firstly, the size of the pool should be based on the available space in your backyard and your usage requirements. A larger pool will cost more, but it can provide more space for swimming and entertainment.

·        Secondly, the type of material used should be considered carefully. Concrete pools offer more customization options, while vinyl pools are more affordable. However, the durability and maintenance requirements should also be taken into account.

·        Thirdly, the cost of the pool should be determined based on your budget and the features you want. A more expensive pool may offer additional features, such as waterfalls, spas, or lighting, while a simpler pool may be more budget-friendly.

·        Lastly, the maintenance requirements should be considered, as different types of pools may require different levels of upkeep. Concrete pools may require more maintenance, such as regular cleaning and acid washing, while vinyl pools may require fewer chemicals and less maintenance overall.

In conclusion, choosing the right inground pool requires careful consideration of several factors, including the size, material, cost, and maintenance requirements. By understanding these factors and consulting with a pool professional, you can make an informed decision and enjoy a refreshing and relaxing oasis in your backyard for years to come.
